Needle felted tree on silk fused paper

The silk paper was made from undyed silk, I then painted with Dye-na-flow paints, overdyed with tea and then "rusted" with steel wool and salt water. I then needlefelted the tree on to the silk paper. The wool used was New Zealand romney.

Felted Easter Eggs

I'm ready for Easter! Easter eggs with bunnies or chicks.

Flower Mat

This was supposed to be a book cover that I was going to free motion embroider on the sewing machine. I wet felted the white merino wool but it came out too thick and I couldn't fit it under the machine. So I ended up hand embroidering and adding seed beads. I also added silk hankies but you can barely see them as all the color from the Koolaid dyeing came out. So now I don't know what to do with the piece. Oh well...

Buddy Angels

Here are my two needle felted yorkies with heat bondable angelina fiber wings. The wings look so gossamer, they turned out just as I had hoped - very thin, irridescent but still hold their shape.

Coinneach - Leprechaun in the Buff

This is Coinneach (pronounced CONE - yek) which means moss in Gaelic. It can also be a name meaning handsome and anglicized to Kenneth. So his name means handsome moss - which I thought was fitting. He is warming up to sing for St. Patrick's Day and his song is Carrickfergus.
I wish I was in Carrickfergus
only for nights in Ballygran
I would swim over the deepest ocean
the deepest ocean
for my love to find
but the sea is wide and I cannot cross over
nor do I have any wings to fly
if I could find me a handsome boatman
to ferry me over to my love and die
My childhood days bring back sad reflections
of happy times I spent so long ago
My childhood friends and my relations
have all passed on now like the melting snow
so I'll spend my days in endless roving
soft is the grass, my bed is free
oh to be back now in Carrickfergus
on that long road down by the sea
And in Kilkenny, it is reported
there are marble stones there as black as ink
with gold and silver I would support her
but I'll sing no more now 'till I get a drink
I'm drunk today and I'm seldom sober
a handsome rover from town to town
ah but I'm sick now, my days are numbered
so come all you young men and lay me down
